Notes
One of the lowest income thresholds in Europe. The $432 figure is EUR 400/month; the legislation itself sets no explicit minimum, and consultants report a working benchmark closer to EUR 800/month. Applicants must also show savings of about EUR 4,000 held over the previous 12 months, which is the requirement most applications actually turn on. Requirements and enforcement are inconsistent across sources - verify directly with Albanian authorities before applying.

Notes
18 months is a ceiling, not an instalment: granted for up to 18 months at once, or a shorter period plus one extension within the same 18-month cap, filed at least 60 days before expiry. It cannot be extended past 18 months, and a fresh application requires six months spent outside Croatia first - which is what the "up to 3 years" headlines are counting. Threshold is 2.5x the previous year's average net Croatian salary, recalculated annually: EUR 3,622.50/mo for 2026, being 2.5 x EUR 1,449. Add 10% per family member. Savings alternative accepted: EUR 43,470 for 12 months or EUR 65,205 for 18. You cannot work for Croatian employers or serve Croatian clients on it. Small scheme: 824 applications in the first nine months of 2024, 342 approved.

Notes
The threshold is 1.5x the Czech average salary and moves annually - about CZK 69,836/mo (~$3,200) for 2026. Originally IT-only; marketing specialists were added in 2025, along with Brazil, Israel, Mexico and Singapore as eligible nationalities. The separate zivno (trade licence) route has no monthly income bar but wants savings of about CZK 156,500.

Notes
No nomad visa needed: citizens of roughly 95-98 countries enter visa-free and may stay 365 days, with no income threshold and no application. Since 1 March 2026 that no longer implies the right to work - changes to the Law on Labour Migration introduced a work permit covering foreigners employed by a Georgian company, working remotely for one, or self-employed, which includes Individual Entrepreneur registration. Anyone working in Georgia before 1 March 2026 must hold a permit by 1 January 2027. The 1% Small Business Status is unchanged. The old "Remotely from Georgia" programme has been suspended and dropped from official portals.

Notes
Germany has no dedicated nomad visa; the freelance residence permit (Freiberufler, section 21(5)) is the route non-EU remote workers use, and it has no economic interest test for liberal professions such as IT, consulting, translation and design. No fixed income threshold - caseworkers look for consistent inflows, commonly in the EUR 1,000-2,500/mo range for a single applicant, plus health insurance and an Anmeldung. Berlin moved to online-only submission for these permits in March 2026.

Since February 2026 (Law 5275/2026) in-country applications are no longer accepted - you must apply at a Greek consulate before travelling. Comes with a 50% income tax exemption for up to seven years.

Notes
Initial D8 visa (365 days) converts to a two-year residence permit on arrival, renewable for a further three, with permanent residency available at five years. The income threshold is 4x the Portuguese minimum wage and is recalculated every January: EUR 920 in 2026 gives EUR 3,680/mo (about $4,190), up from roughly EUR 3,040. Savings of EUR 11,040 are also required, being 12x the minimum wage rather than 12x the threshold. Roughly EUR 460/mo extra for a spouse. AIMA's own site was unreachable at the time of checking, so confirm current terms with your consulate before applying.
Requirements
- Proof of €2,442+/mo income (200% of the monthly SMI)

Notes
Initial 1-year visa converts to a 3-year residence permit, renewable up to 5 years total. Qualifies for the Beckham Law 24% flat income tax rate. The threshold is 200% of the SMI, which Royal Decree 126/2026 set at EUR 1,221/mo across 14 instalments from 17 February 2026. Annualised that gives EUR 2,849/mo, which is what practitioners and most consulates apply; taking the bare monthly SMI gives EUR 2,442, which some consular guidance quotes. We publish the higher figure because an understated threshold gets applicants refused. Add 75% of SMI for the first dependant (about EUR 1,068) and 25% for each additional one (about EUR 356). At least 80% of income must come from outside Spain.

Notes
Mexico has no dedicated nomad visa; the Temporary Resident Visa is the route remote workers use. Thresholds rose sharply in July 2025 when consulates switched from the minimum wage to the UMA as the basis: about $4,400/mo averaged over six to twelve months, or about $74,000 in savings held for twelve months. Exact figures are set in pesos, vary by consulate and update annually. INM residence card fees roughly doubled on 1 January 2026.

Launched April 2024. One year, not extendable: to stay longer you reapply from scratch, with no cap on the number of applications. Income must be entirely foreign-sourced - taking money from an Indonesian client breaks the permit. Separate from the C1 visit visa (called B211A before January 2024), which gives 60 days extendable to about 180 and is what most nomads actually use.

Launched July 2024. Five years, multiple entry, 180 days per stay, extendable once inside the country for a further 180. No income threshold - it tests savings, not monthly income. E-visa only since January 2025, and the 500,000 THB is enforced strictly. Separate from the LTR visa, which is a ten-year route for much higher earners.

Notes
Bahrain has no dedicated digital nomad visa. Remote workers use the tourist e-visa (30 days, extendable). The Golden Residency route exists but targets retirees, property owners from BD 130,000, talented individuals and long-term residents in local employment, not remote workers. Reporting on a 2026 nomad pathway is thin and unconfirmed at source.
This visa programme is not yet open for applications.

Notes
Announced for 2026: up to 365 consecutive days within a five-year window, renewable annually. Reporting differs on whether it is open or still at proposal stage, and Nepal's immigration department was unreachable when we checked, so none of this could be confirmed at source. Treat every figure as provisional.
